Simply Crafting

As you all know I ran out of beading wire so I had decided not to purchase any more until I can sell some of the things I already have made.  Well I guess I forgot to tell my husband of my plans.  The other day he asked me why I wasn’t beading any more.  So I told him I ran out of wire and wasn’t going to purchase any more until I sell some stuff.  He then asked if I  had any beads left over and I told him “yes, a ton of them”.

Well…he came home from town yesterday and threw a bag at me.  Yes, he had purchased me some wire.  So…I guess you all know what I’ll be doing once again.  I can’t see these supplies go to waste, so I’m going to use them up.  Hopefully I’ll be able to sell most of it at a couple of craft sales and a yard sale.  Otherwise, I’m going to have a lot of inventory on hand.  The good thing is, is that jewelry doesn’t go bad so I guess it doesn’t really matter if I have to keep the jewelry on hand for a couple of months.

She is going to take everything I have to a couple of major craft sales and try to sell them for me. So I’m working continuously at this. The following is four bracelets that I have made. Last week I went on a mission to see how much jewelry I could create. With it being the kids final days of school and being quite busy with all their activities I didn’t accomplish as much as I wanted, but I was able to create four three pieces of jewelry. The fourth one turned out so wrong that I ended up taking it all out and starting from scratch. Well here are the three pieces I did manage to get done. Hopefully this week I will be able to do more as the kids are enrolled in summer day camp so I have extra time on my hands.

For the past few days I have been busy creating newer pieces of jewelry. No I don’t have any pictures ready just yet, but when I have more made I’ll be posting the pictures. Monday was kind of a waste of a day because the piece I did make I ended up hating it and taking it all out. Yesterday was a better day as the bracelet I made turned out awesome. Today I’m going to try to make a couple of necklaces and hopefully the first of next week I will be able to show you some work in progress.

The kids final day of school is tomorrow so I don’t know how much I’ll get done this next eight weeks. Hopefully I’ll be able to do some work in the evenings after they have gone to bed. But if not, I’m not going to worry about it. I know it will all get done eventually. So if you’ve been wondering what I’ve been up to, now you know.

The materials in these products include pink and white glass beads, other assorted metal and plastic beads, with gold plated joiners. The necklace measures 18″ long and bracelet is 10″ inches long.

The price for the bracelet is $15.00 and the necklace is $25.00. But, if you place an order for both the price combined price will be $35.00. The shipping costs for these products would be $5.00 to the USA and Canada.

Well I have to say that business has started to pick up!  So much so that I am getting orders and actually have people waiting for orders now!  As it is only me doing all the work, and realistically because of the low profit margin, it can only be me making it, the work is kind of going slow but through word of mouth, people are willing to wait!

So far I have made two sets of homemade jewelry sets, finished a doggie quilt, have another quilt on the go and also have a knitted afghan on the go as well.  So, with all this work ahead of me, Christmas up and coming as well as my other side job of paid blogging I am one busy momma!  But, as I am the type of person who cannot stand to just sit around and do nothing, this is awesome news for me.
